Hi, I'm Parsue Choi, an Indie Game Developer, UI/UX Designer, and 2D/3D Artist based in Hong Kong. My journey into game development and software engineering has been shaped by a diverse career path, allowing me to bring a unique and holistic perspective to every project I undertake.
My professional background began far from software development—as an Accounting Clerk, where I learned the importance of cost efficiency and resource management. Later, as a freelance artist and designer, I honed my creative skills, cultivated an understanding of user-centered design, and mastered the art of creating original content from scratch. My experience in sales, operations, and customer service further deepened my appreciation for understanding user needs and delivering value through well-designed solutions.
These varied experiences have significantly enriched my approach to development. I understand the importance of designing systems that prioritize users—those who use the product—not just customers who pay for it. My time as an artist taught me to create meaningful, intuitive experiences, while my accounting background instilled a mindset of efficiency and resourcefulness.
In 2016, I began my journey into game development with Unity, and by 2017, I had fully immersed myself in it. Since then, I’ve rapidly advanced, taking on roles as a game developer, team lead, Unity game engineer, and UI/UX designer. Along the way, I’ve specialized in designing efficient architectures and systems, such as Event-Driven and State Machine frameworks, that enhance team productivity and streamline development workflows.
